This unit is a direct replacement for the OEM. The Baxters replacement fits the original mount on the engine and no adaptor is required for the wiring loom. ( unlike some of our competitiors……. i.e CDD.) Our unit is competitively priced at 40% off list price and has proven to be bullet proof with almost no failures. This application is very hard on alternators with the exhaust system running very close to the alternator.( High temperatures.) Removal and replacing is a labor intensive task on this application, so the replacement must be durable.
